Materials and construction

Natural Bolivian amethyst spheres, selected for consistent violet depth, surface polish, and strand rhythm. Hand-strung to order with a stainless steel wire core, finished with a one-hand magnetic clasp. Single-mineral strand — no mixed stone types. Construction upgraded in the second half of 2026: current lots are strung on steel wire with a magnetic clasp; lots shipped before this change used elastic cord.

Studio notes

Amethyst forms when iron replaces silicon inside the growing crystal lattice, activated by natural irradiation over geological time. The purple is structural — sealed inside, not applied to the surface. It existed before the stone was cut. It cannot be added after formation.

This lot was selected for tonal depth across the full strand — the deeper end of the Bolivian range, where the violet reads as interior weight rather than surface colour. Every 6mm bead holds the same depth. No filler. No tonal breaks.
