Studio notes

Emerald phantom quartz is clear quartz holding green phantom planes, formed when an earlier growth surface was marked by included minerals and later enclosed by new quartz. The green marks an earlier surface kept inside the crystal. Cubic cuts make that surface read as architecture.

This piece was selected for 12mm cubic structures, 5–11mm spheres, and tri-wire alignment. The standard is architecture with movement. Cubes needed visible phantom planes, while spheres needed enough openness to keep the wrist sequence fluid.

This piece sits between Flow and Prism because movement and visibility happen together. Emerald phantom quartz gives an earlier surface a place in the architecture. The cube frames the old boundary, and the spheres keep it moving.
