Materials and construction
Kugeln aus natürlichem goldenem Rutilquarz — Auswahl feiner Rutile — ausgewählt für Präzision, gleichmäßige Nadelverteilung und klare Sicht auf den Wirtsquarz. Auf Bestellung von Hand mit einem Kern aus Edelstahldraht aufgezogen und mit einem Einhand-Magnetverschluss versehen. Strang aus einem einzigen Mineral. Konstruktion in der zweiten Hälfte des Jahres 2026 überarbeitet: Aktuelle Chargen werden auf Stahldraht mit Magnetverschluss aufgezogen; vor dieser Änderung versandte Chargen verwendeten Elastikkordel.

In diesem Lot ist der Rutil so dicht, dass goldene Nadeln den Quarz fast vollständig ausfüllen. Was als Einschlüsse begann, hat sich zum Körper des Steins verdichtet. Der Wirt ist weiterhin Quarz, doch das Gold erscheint nun als Masse und nicht als einige schwebende Linien.
Dieses dichte Lot wurde für vollständig goldene Felder über 10mm-Perlen ausgewählt: dicht gepackte Linien, warme Ansammlung und genügend Zusammenhalt, damit die Dichte niemals in Unschärfe übergeht. Der Maßstab ist Fülle, die lesbar bleibt. Viel Gold, zusammengehalten, ohne zu Rauschen zu werden.
Dies ist Prism, weil das Gold selbst bei dieser Dichte dem Licht noch einen Weg lässt. Goldrutilquarz verwandelt hier Ansammlung in Präsenz. Das Gold tritt nicht nach außen; es füllt und bleibt zusammenhängend.

Goldener Rutilquarz entsteht, während Rutil — Titandioxid — im Inneren des Quarzes wächst; in diesem Lot sind die Nadeln so dicht, dass sie fast die ganze Perle ausfüllen. Die Einschlüsse haben sich angesammelt, bis sie zum Körper selbst werden — was in klarem Quarz eine Linie war, ist nun die Substanz des Steins. Über 10mm-Perlen liest das Gold als nahezu massives Feld, warme Masse und nicht ein paar Fäden.
